WE WILL NOT BE SILENT

DONATE YOUR PROTEST SIGN
I'm a local artist collecting protest signs for an art piece called "We Will Not Be Silent.” I am weaving dozens of signs together to symbolize the voices of our community coming together to stand up for human rights. I want this art installation to have the same energy and power we feel at protests.
I'm collecting all signs, all sizes. They don't have to be cute or clever! If you’d like to donate your sign to this project, please email me at WeWillNotBeSilent_Art@proton.me
Anyone who contacts me will remain anonymous.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Hi, I’m Beth Eckel, a local artist, art teacher, and mom. I’ve always believed in human rights, and right now it feels more important than ever to express that through art.
When my 6-year-old made her own protest sign, it made me think about the creativity and power behind these signs and how they bring people together. The energy and connection I’ve felt at protests is what I want to capture in this project.
While I do some political art, my background focuses in traditional and scientific art. I haven't been loud in my political stance in the past, and that's why this project is so important to me personally. I will not be silent. My art has been sold in all 50 states, published in magazines, shown in galleries, and most recently exhibited at the Arizona Science Center. I have a platform. I want to use it to give us all a voice.
Are you with me?
