Architecture Art Class (K-6)
Build your ideas from the ground up
Students get to explore architecture through drawing and fun hands-on building experiences. We learn how to plan structures, use shapes and proportions, and turn ideas into designs. We sketch buildings and bridges, experiment with materials, and construct our own architectural designs while testing what works and what doesn’t. From popsicle stick houses to magnatile castles, this class turns simple materials into real structural thinking—helping students design, build, test, and improve their own creations. The focus is on practical skills, problem-solving, and developing confidence while having fun building! Max class size of 8 students. Parents are welcome to stay!

Meet the Teacher
Hi! My name is Beth. I work as a professional artist and I've been teaching art for 18 years. Throughout my career, I've seen the transformative effect art can have on children. It's the one place they can make a mess, make mistakes, and create something great in the process. I see the pride and confidence it builds, the ideas it inspires, and the skills it develops. I’ve created fun play-based art classes to introduce foundational learning and artistic skills such as creative problem solving, critical thinking, and emotional intelligence to foster a love of learning and set students up for academic and personal success.
