Art Inspired by Music (K-6)
Create masterpieces inspired by your favorite musicians and composers!
Let the rhythm guide your creativity in this art class where music and visual art come together! Each week, students will explore a genre of music while learning about influential musicians and composers from around the globe. As we listen, move, and feel the music, students will create expressive artwork inspired by music! Through hands-on projects, children will develop artistic techniques, experiment with a wide variety of materials, and discover how music can spark visual ideas and emotions. This class nurtures creative expression, builds an appreciation for both art and music, and gives students the freedom to explore their unique artistic voice. With a maximum of 8 students, each child receives personalized guidance!

Meet the Teacher
Hi! My name is Beth. I work as a professional artist and I've been teaching art for 18 years. Throughout my career, I've seen the transformative effect art can have on children. It's the one place they can make a mess, make mistakes, and create something great in the process. I see the pride and confidence it builds, the ideas it inspires, and the skills it develops. I’ve created fun play-based art classes to introduce foundational learning and artistic skills such as creative problem solving, critical thinking, and emotional intelligence to foster a love of learning and set students up for academic and personal success.
