Creative Thinkers (K-6)
Building creativity, confidence, and connection through collaborative art
In this session, we focus on building teamwork, collaboration, and creative problem-solving skills through engaging art projects. Students will work together to brainstorm ideas, share materials, and combine their strengths to bring group creations to life. Each week features a new hands-on project that encourages cooperation, communication, and innovative thinking. Whether painting a mural, building a collaborative sculpture, or designing a shared mixed-media piece, students will learn how to listen to others’ ideas, contribute their own, and solve artistic challenges as a team. With a maximum of 8 students, everyone has the opportunity to participate, connect, and create together!

Meet the Teacher
Hi! My name is Beth. I work as a professional artist and I've been teaching art for 18 years. Throughout my career, I've seen the transformative effect art can have on children. It's the one place they can make a mess, make mistakes, and create something great in the process. I see the pride and confidence it builds, the ideas it inspires, and the skills it develops. I’ve created fun play-based art classes to introduce foundational learning and artistic skills such as creative problem solving, critical thinking, and emotional intelligence to foster a love of learning and set students up for academic and personal success.
