Inspiration and Understanding of the World Around Us
In this outdoor class, young explorers engage with nature through observation and artistic creation. We create nature-inspired paintings, sculptures, and mixed media art while learning about plants, animals, weather, and more. Foster curiosity, creativity, and a deeper appreciation for the natural world. We use a variety of mediums and techniques to explore artistic styles while developing dexterity and hand-eye coordination. This class encourages experimentation and personal expression while developing a deeper understanding of artistic principles.

Hi! My name is Beth. I work as a professional artist and I've been teaching art for over 15 years. Throughout my career, I've seen the transformative effect art can have on children. It's the one place they can make a mess, make mistakes, and create something great in the process. I see the pride and confidence it builds, the ideas it inspires, and the skills it develops. I’ve created fun play-based art classes to introduce foundational learning and artistic skills such as creative problem solving, critical thinking, and emotional intelligence to foster a love of learning and set students up for academic and personal success.
