Make reading fun in this one-of-a-kind art class!
We create alphabet artwork, word family wheels, rhyming collages, letter sculptures, and more using a variety of artistic mediums. We play games to practice and reinforce phonics skills like letter sounds, blends, and sight words—all while encouraging creativity, critical thinking, and teamwork. Whether drawing, building, or playing, students will discover how words and sounds connect, helping them grow as confident readers in a joyful, hands-on way! With a maximum of 8 students, every child gets individual instruction!

Hi! My name is Beth. I work as a professional artist and I've been teaching art for 18 years. Throughout my career, I've seen the transformative effect art can have on children. It's the one place they can make a mess, make mistakes, and create something great in the process. I see the pride and confidence it builds, the ideas it inspires, and the skills it develops. I’ve created fun play-based art classes to introduce foundational learning and artistic skills such as creative problem solving, critical thinking, and emotional intelligence to foster a love of learning and set students up for academic and personal success.
