Poetry Art Class (K-6)
Discover your voice with words, rhymes, and art!
In this class, young artists will explore the beauty and rhythm of poetry through both written and visual arts. Students will learn how to express their ideas, emotions, and observations through different poetic forms while discovering the power of language, imagery, and rhythm. We will create our own illustrated poetry collections, and bring poems to life through spoken word activities. This class fosters self-expression, creativity, and collaboration while helping children build foundational literacy, communication, and presentation skills. With a maximum of 8 students, every child gets individual instruction!

Meet the Teacher
Hi! My name is Beth. I work as a professional artist and I've been teaching art for over 15 years. Throughout my career, I've seen the transformative effect art can have on children. It's the one place they can make a mess, make mistakes, and create something great in the process. I see the pride and confidence it builds, the ideas it inspires, and the skills it develops. I’ve created fun play-based art classes to introduce foundational learning and artistic skills such as creative problem solving, critical thinking, and emotional intelligence to foster a love of learning and set students up for academic and personal success.

Join our Arizona Art Enrichment Poetry Class Accepting ESA
This poetry and art enrichment class is designed for homeschoolers in the Arizona East Valley who want to develop both literacy and creativity. Designed for kindergarten through 4th grade, the mixed-age setting allows younger students to learn from older peers while older students practice leadership and mentoring—creating a truly supportive learning community. Students in Chandler, Gilbert, Mesa, Tempe, Ahwatukee, and beyond can explore self-expression through poetry writing, illustration, and spoken word, while also strengthening communication and presentation skills.
