The femur, while a symbol of support and stability, also possesses an intricate beauty in its form. I aim to highlight the bone’s organic, sculptural qualities, while rendering it with a softness that brings out the often overlooked elegance of the strongest bone of our body. 
 
Beth loves pastel for its soft velvety texture and ability to capture subtle gradations as well as visible expressive strokes. She loves combining the natural color of bone with hints of bright blues and greens contrasted with deep warm browns in the shadows to bring the drawing to life.
