United States Art Class (K-6)
Learn about the States through hands-on art projects!
Travel across the United States, from the deserts of the Southwest to the forests of the Pacific Northwest, the Great Plains, and the Atlantic Northeast! We create landmark sculptures, landscape paintings, and design state flags and symbols that represent each area’s unique history and identity. We explore geography, history, and culture through hands-on art projects inspired by U.S. states and cities. Students grow in knowledge, creativity, and appreciation for the diverse states that make up our country. With a maximum of 8 students, every child receives individualized instruction!

Meet the Teacher
Hi! My name is Beth. I work as a professional artist and I've been teaching art for over 15 years. Throughout my career, I've seen the transformative effect art can have on children. It's the one place they can make a mess, make mistakes, and create something great in the process. I see the pride and confidence it builds, the ideas it inspires, and the skills it develops. I’ve created fun play-based art classes to introduce foundational learning and artistic skills such as creative problem solving, critical thinking, and emotional intelligence to foster a love of learning and set students up for academic and personal success.
